AI Site Snapshot
An AI-generated summary of your website that appears on your project overview after each crawl
After Evergreen crawls your site, your project's Overview page shows an AI-generated summary of what was found — a short description of your site plus a handful of specific, data-grounded highlights.
What You'll See
The Site Snapshot card appears near the top of your Project Overview page and includes:
- A summary — two to three sentences describing what your site is and how it's structured
- Highlights — three to five short observations about your content, such as common issues or notable patterns
- Page count — how many pages the summary is based on
Every highlight is grounded in your actual crawl data (page counts, missing titles or descriptions, thin content, broken pages, and similar signals) — Evergreen doesn't invent metrics that aren't in your data.
When It Appears
A snapshot needs at least a handful of crawled pages before Evergreen can generate it, so you won't see the card until your first crawl has analyzed enough of your site.
While a crawl is still running, the card is titled "What we've learned so far" and reflects the pages crawled up to that point. Once the crawl finishes, it updates to "Site snapshot" with a summary based on the completed crawl.
If you start a new crawl, the card keeps showing your most recent completed snapshot — labeled "From your last crawl" — until the new crawl finishes and replaces it.
Scope of the Summary
For large sites, the snapshot is based on a bounded sample of your most recently crawled pages rather than every page on your site. This keeps the summary fast and relevant without waiting on your entire sitemap to finish crawling. The page count shown on the card tells you exactly how many pages the current summary reflects.
Evergreen keeps one current snapshot per project — each new crawl replaces the previous summary rather than keeping a history of past snapshots.
